Synonyms: (S)-a-Aminoisovaleric acid, L-2-Amino-3-methylbutanoic acid
Valine (symbol Val or V)[3] is an α-amino acid that is used in the biosynthesis of proteins. It contains an α-amino group (which is in the protonated −NH3+ form under biological conditions), an α-carboxylic acid group (which is in the deprotonated −COO− form under biological conditions), and a side chain isopropyl group, making it a non-polar aliphatic amino acid.
V 1205 (OTTO) L-Valine, 99%+ Cas 72-18-4 - used in the enhancement of muscle growth and energy. It is utilized in tissue repair. It is also involved in the studies to attenuate arrhythmias and induce hypotensive effects. It acts as a precursor for the preparation of penicillin through biosynthetic pathway. V 1205 (OTTO) L-Valine, 99%+ Cas 72-18-4 - used in the preparation of starvation media to study the role of relA gene in antibiotic resistance in E. coli.
