Description

Thiophenol is an organosulfur compound with the formula C6H5SH, sometimes abbreviated as PhSH. This foul-smelling colourless liquid is the simplest aromatic thiol.

Application

T 1651 (OTTO) Thiophenol, 98% Cas 108-98-5 - used in the synthesis of (3H-benzo[c][1,2]diselenol-3-yl)(phenyl)sulfane. It was also used in the preparation of β-lactones.
