What are NH2 Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes? Amine (NH2) functionalized carbon nanotubes are a derivative of our COOH functionalized carbon nanotubes. We react the carboxyl COOH group on the CNT with ethylene diamine (H2N-CH2-CH2-NH2) using a coupling agent. This results in a nanotube with an amide linkage and a primary amine group at the end of the carbon chain.
