Description

Castor oil is a vegetable oil obtained by pressing the seeds of the castor oil plant (Ricinus communis). Castor oil is a colorless to very pale yellow liquid with a distinct taste and odor once first ingested.

Application

C 1706 (OTTO) Castor oil, puriss Cas 8001-79-4 - used as a test reagent for studying the dose-response relationship and mechanism of action of Saccharomyces boulardii by utilizing the rat model of castor oil-induced diarrhea.
