Silicon carbide (SiC), is a semiconductor containing silicon and carbon.

Application

S 1459 (OTTO) Silicon carbide, 0.1 - 5 µm, 99.9% Cas 409-21-2 - used as an abrasive for such as grinding wheels, whetstone, grinding wheel, sand tiles etc.. Silicon carbide is used to produce epitaxial graphene by graphitization at high temperatures.
