Sudan black b - is an azo dye. It is nonfluorescent, relatively thermostable lysochrome (fat-soluble dye) diazo dye used for staining of neutral triglycerides and lipids on frozen sections and some lipoproteins on paraffin sections.

S 2735 (OTTO) Sudan black B Cas 4197-25-5 - used to stain phospholipids and intracellular lipids. Staining pattern is almost similar to myeloperoxidase reaction, with positive staining of granulocytic cells, eosinophils and weak monocytic staining.It doesn’t stain lymphocytes. S 2735 (OTTO) Sudan black B Cas 4197-25-5 -used in brain BLAQ (Block Lipids and Aldehyde Quench) technique and is used in lipid detection.
