Code: D 8378

(For eg. B 1615-0108)

2-Deoxy-D-glucose is a glucose molecule which has the 2-hydroxyl group replaced by hydrogen, so that it cannot undergo further glycolysis. As such; it acts to competitively inhibit the production of glucose-6-PO4 from glucose at the phosphoglucoisomerase level.

D 8378 (OTTO) 2-Deoxy-D-glucose, 98% Cas 154-17-6 - used in glucoprivic feeding research to invoke and study the processes of counter-regulatory response (CRR).
