Code: C 2765

(For eg. B 1615-0108)

Cyanogen bromide is a pseudohalogen compound with the formula C(Br)N. It is a colorless solid that is widely used to modify biopolymers, fragment proteins and peptides, and synthesize other compounds.

C 2765 (OTTO) Cyanogen bromide, 99% Cas 506-68-3 - used to immobilize proteins by coupling them to reagents such as agarose for affinity chromatography. Because of its simplicity and mild pH conditions, cyanogen bromide activation is the most common method for preparing affinity gels. C 2765 (OTTO) Cyanogen bromide, 99% Cas 506-68-3 - used because it reacts with the hydroxyl groups on agarose to form cyanate esters and imidocarbonates.
