Description

4,4'-Bipyridine (4,4'-bipy) is a bipyridine which is mainly used as a precursor to N,N'-dimethyl-4,4'-bipyridinium [(C5H4NCH3)2]2+, known as paraquat.

Application

B 1790 (OTTO) 4,4,-Bipyridyl, GR 98% Cas 553-26-4 - used in transition-metal complex catalyst chemistry for uniform polymerization, in luminescence chemistry and in spectrophotometric analysis. It plays an important role as a photosensitizer and luminescent material. B 1790 (OTTO) 4,4,-Bipyridyl, GR 98% Cas 553-26-4 Cas 553-26-4 - used as a precursor to paraquat viz. N,N'-dimethyl-4,4'-bipyridinium.
