Description

Chloroplatinic acid (hydrate) - is a solid, it is an important commercial source of platinum, usually as an aqueous solution.

Application

C 0113 (OTTO) Chloroplatinic acid, hydrate, 99.9%+ Cas 26023-84-7 - used in the determination of potassium, by selective precipitation as potassium chloroplatinate. It is a precursor for the preparation of other platinum catalysts. In addition to this, it is also used as an analytical reagent. Dihydrogen hexachloroplatinate(IV) hexahydrate is used for the determination of potassium.
