Description

Caesium iodide (chemical formula CsI) is the ionic compound of caesium and iodine.

Application

C 1805 (OTTO) Cesium iodide, 99.999% Cas 7789-17-5 - used as a scintillator in silicon photodiodes. It is utilized in calorimeters and detectors and also employed as phosphor in fluoroscopy equipments. It finds application in making cell windows and prisms in infrared spectroscopy.
