Perchloric acid is a mineral acid with the formula HClO4.
P 1443 (OTTO) Perchloric acid, 20% Cas 7601-90-3 - used as a precursor for ammonium perchlorate which is used in rocket fuel. It is useful for etching of liquid crystal displays, etching of chrome, ore extraction and in analytical chemistry. It is used as a strong oxidizer and as a solvent for metals and alloys.
