Dibenzoylmethane, is an aromatic 1,3-diketone derivative of acetylacetone (acac), where both methyl groups in acac have been substituted by phenyl groups. Dibenzoylmethane is a minor constituent of licorice found to inhibit mammary tumorigenesis, lymphomas, and leukemias in mice.
