G 0099 (OTTO) β-D-Glucose pentaacetate, 98% Cas 604-69-3 - used in biochemical reaction and also used as an active pharmaceutical intermediate. Further, it is used to stimulate insulin release in rat pancreatic islets.

Description

β-D-Glucose Pentaacetate is an enantiomer of D-glucose pentaacetate, which has been shown to stimulate insulin release in rat pancreatic islets. Only α-D-glucose pentaacetate was shown to cause an immediate increase, however.
