Description

Ammonium cerium(IV) nitrate is a very strong oxidizing agent. Ammonium cerium(IV) nitrate is useful as an oxidant for many functional groups (alcohols, phenols, and ethers) as well as C-H bonds, especially those that are benzylic.

Application

A 2068 (OTTO) Ammonium ceric nitrate, solution N/20 - used as a volumetric oxidizing reagent in many oxidation-reduction titrations.
