Description

3-Mercaptopropionic acid is suitable for amino acid analysis by means of OPA.

Application

M 1640 (OTTO) 3-Mercaptopropionic acid Cas no 107-96-0 - used to produce hydrophilic SAMs. The resulting monolayers which are terminated with carboxylic acids can be further functionalized to introduce more complex end groups such as enzymes for biosensor applications.
