Bilirubin (formerly referred to as haematoidin) is the yellow breakdown product of normal heme catabolism, caused by the body's clearance of aged red blood cells which contain hemoglobin

Application

B 1755 (OTTO) Bilirubin, GR 99%+ Cas 635-65-4 - used to study cell biology, bioactive small molecules, biochemicals and reagents, plasma and blood proteins, and proteins and derivatives. Bilirubin-reducing enzymes effectively dispose of electrons produced by fermentolytic processes in the anaerobic bacteria, Pseudomonas dacunhae.
